Control was one of the best games to come out of 2019 and it was NoobFeed's Game of the Year for 2019. Now, the first story expansion is set to launch this March 26th for PC and PS4.
Called The Foundation, this expansion will have Jesse attempting to locate Helen Marshall, Head of Operations, in the caverns of the Foundation. In addition, Jesse must stop the Astral Plane from consuming the Oldest House in the process. We also get a glimpse at the optional boss that kept appearing during the campaign during the trailer.
As stated, the expansion will come to PS4 and PC first. With Xbox One users getting it on June 25th. Which is insane, that's over 3 months later! Exclusive content is expected to push gamers to buy on specific platforms but that gap between this release is just too extreme.
The Foundation expansion will delve into the Oldest House’s history. Jesse is alerted by the Board that a situation has arisen in the Foundation, the bedrock of the Oldest House. A mysterious structure called the Monolith has been damaged, resulting in the Astral Plane leaking into the Foundation. If Jesse does not find a way to stop it, the entire Oldest House, along with the Bureau, will be consumed by this invading dimension.
Players who own the Digital Deluxe version of Control for PlayStation 4 will automatically receive The Foundation expansion when it launches worldwide on March 26. Players who own the PlayStation 4 base game or PC version from the Epic Games Store can purchase a DLC season pass for $24.99, offering access to The Foundation expansion and a second expansion, AWE, coming to Control in late summer 2020. Players may also purchase each expansion a la carte for PlayStation 4 or PC for $14.99 each from their digital storefront of choice.
Control is now available for PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
