Cooperative Control Spin-Off Game From Remedy and 505 Games in Development

Control getting a new installment

By Grayshadow, Posted 30 Jun 2021

Control was one of the best games of 2019 and now 505 Games and Remedy have confirmed a new installment. However, it's not a full sequel but a spin-off title called Project Condor.

Control,NoobFeed,

This game will be multiplayer but little information was provided. My guess is that it'll take place during the core game, with survivors fighting off against the Hiss as Jesse plays through the core game. During the core game Jesse witnesses dozens of security officers fighting against the Hiss and Mold, with Jesse even able to call on their help in the DLC expansions. A concept image was provided but it shows 4 officers with 1 body on the floor, hinting at a 4-player set up for the cooperative experience.

Remedy has a large amount of experience with third-person shooters such as Max Payne, Alan Wake, and Control. We'll have to see if they can create a balanced multiplayer experience player will want to play. But given Remedy's history creating interesting experiences based on supernatural and psychological thrillers I'm hoping for some reality-warping situations.

Control is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC.
