After being delayed Fallout 76's NPC update, I mean Wastelanders, will launch this April 7th along with the Steam release.
The update will bring NPCs to the game. This is ironic considering that one of the game's biggest marketing points is that all the in-game characters would be actual players.
This update will change the main quest. Adding interactive human NPCs that will provide a new direction for the player. In addition, the update will bring new enemies and gear shown in the trailer.
Fallout 76 has been one of the most negatively received games this generation. Serving as the prime example when Bethesda's reputation took a dive. With the game launching in a horribly negative state, heavy use of recycled assets, a mismanaged and falsely advertised premium store, exploits, banning players attempting to report issues, and the most infamous being the premium Fallout 1st membership. A lot is riding on Wastelanders to deliver the experience long time players have been waiting for and we'll find out this April 1st.
Fallout 76 is now available for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
