Story-driven Action-RPG Children of Morta now has a release date. The title will launch on PC on September 3rd, with Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch players getting it a month later on October 15th.
Developed by Dead Mage and published by 11 bit studios, Children of Morta follows the Bergsons, a family of heroes defending against the corruption that morphs Mount Morta and throws plenty of nasty creatures their way.
Although it plays like a top-down ARPG and focuses on dungeon crawling and upgrading the different characters' equipment, Children of Morta also delves into more emotional territory. "Children of Morta copes with themes closer to our daily lives than one would expect. It is a story of the simple emotions we all know so well — and value more than sometimes we dare to admit — love and hope, longing and uncertainty, ultimately loss and the sacrifices we are willing to make to save the ones we care the most for.", a press release reads.
