After previously announcing their collaboration on an upcoming strategy game, Paradox Interactive and Romero Games have now revealed the project's title and a set of details about what players can expect. Set in 1920s Prohibition-era Chicago, Empire of Sin will see players attempting to navigate the criminal underworld of the time and build an empire of their own.

Described as a "character-driven, noir-inspired game", Empire of Sin will feature a full cast of characters, each with their own lives and desires. Where some may respond positively to being seduced, others might only be swayed by threats or a well placed bullet to the head.

Players start Empire of Sin by choosing their preferred racket. As you can't build a criminal empire without trusted people, having a team of loyal mobsters is vital to your efforts. Each recruitable character comes with their own set of bonuses to empire, diplomacy but also combat.

While alliances, bribery and moles are important, you will inevitably come to blows with other individuals who want their share of the city. Empire of Sin's combat will be turn-based and team chemistry is said to be necessary in order to succeed. You can now sign-up for the game's newsletter, which also nabs you in-game rewards, drop by its Steam page and check out its trailer.

Empire of Sin is set to launch in Spring 2020 on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
