Since they've invaded premium games microtransactions have become one of the most hated additions to video games, second to loot boxes. However, some developers have decided not to include the vexing paid system in their games like Capcom's Monster Hunter World and now State of Decay 2.
On Reddit Undead_Nicole state:
"I've stated multiple times that we aren't going to have MTX, but we will have paid DLC."
As you might expect not everyone is convinced. Some have gone on to argue that since Microsoft is publishing the title that the game will gain microtransactions in the future.
State of Decay 2 will release in Spring 2018 for Xbox One and Windows 10.
