Set in deep space players take control of En, voiced by Game of Thrones Rose Leslie, an inexperienced space traveler who wakes up after a century in stasis and develops an unstable relationship with the ship called London. This ship is self-aware is your only friend and you'll need all the friends you can get once you enter The Palace.
Beautiful and very dangerous this building is full of mysterious technology, and most of it wants you dead. The Palace studies En and creates beings called "Echoes" identical avatars of En who will kill her if caught. While Studying En they learn to act base on her actions.
This causes dramatic shifts in the gameplay, changing the Echoes behavior based on your actions. You shoot they shoot, you sneak and they'll sneak. You're your own worst enemy and must adapt to yourself constantly.
The Blackout serves as your only sanctuary. When The Palace shuts down to update its deadly copies of En, you have a small window of opportunity to act without consequence. Once online your clones will be updated with your previous tactics, either adapt or die.
Echo launches on PS4 October 11th. It's now available on Steam.
