Since Andromeda doesn't feature a class system skills are separated and upgradable based on what the player chooses. With 300 upgrades and 3 main classes to choose that include Biotics, Combat, and Tech. As the player progresses they will be able to access seven types of profiles, the two discussed are Adept and Explorer.

Biotics are for players who prefer Adept profile and will provide bonuses in that category. This includes more damage for Biotics and the duration of their effects.

For a mixture of skills the Adept profile can be combined with Biotics, Combat, and Tech. If players wish to create multiple profiles for different situations, that option is available. Players can map a profile as Favorite with one slot holding 3 skills and 1 profile. There are 4 slots available for 4 profiles and 12 skills to Favorites.

Squads have been modified to allow for better combat. The 6 members have 3 active and 2 passive abilities. Square-mates can be ordered to various areas of the battlefield and team up for power combos.

Mass Effect: Andromeda launches for Xbox One, PS4, and Origin PC on March 21st. Those with EA or Origin Access will get to play 10 hours of the campaign one week before the game launches.
