One of the most recognizable faces of Bethesda, other than Todd Howard, is obviously Pete Hines. For a very long time, Hines worked as the frontman of the Bethesda, showcasing upcoming games on expos and interviewing many journalists worldwide. But, it seems like the whole resignation movement also hit him, just like other video game market’s well-known figures.

Today, Pete Hines announced his resignation from Bethesda Softworks and plans to spend time on his interests rather than pursuing other opportunities. Unlike other news about CEOs or marketing personalities, who are determined to keep themselves in the gaming circle, Pete Hines plans to completely drop everything work-related about gaming. Of course, this does not include playing games regularly, nobody can stop that at all.

The first announcement was made by Pete Hines on his Twitter account, explaining that the decision was tough to make. He promises that he won’t leave Bethesda as he still loves the company and likes to be a part of it. Later on, Bethesda also posted a status on Twitter, giving the best of luck on his upcoming plans.

Pete Hines joined the Besthesda team back in 1999 and was a marketing personnel. He also gave little touches to other games Bethesda worked on and he helped with the marketing of the Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Recently, he was more sided with the business part of the Bethesda, helping with Starfield’s coverage during showcases and interviews.

Oddly enough, there is a huge wave of lots of frontmen and known figures of gaming communities are leaving. Recently, Hideki Kamiya left his studio, Platinum Games, to create his own YouTube channel and reach his fans through there and the CEO of Unity, John Riccitiello resigned after causing a lot of trouble for the users of Unity. Although the reasons are pretty clear for these people mentioned, we do not know the exact reason why Pete Hines chose to quit his spot on Bethesda, but we wish him the best of luck in his future plans and endeavors.
