God of War Developer Says They Have More in Store Some of the key developers behind God of War Ragnarök have shed some light on what they plan to do next, but they were sure to be vague about it.

God of War Ragnarök only just released, but the work of a game development studio must continually drudge on through the world. There’s always a new game to make or publish, and some of the team at Sony’s Santa Monica Studio, the developer behind God of War, have stated, albeit cryptically, that the studio is working on more.

In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, various key developers from the company sat down to talk about God of War Ragnarök and the direction they decided to pursue for this sequel, and in the midst of that, Cory Barlog, the director of 2018’s God of War revival, said that Santa Monica Studio is: “Spread out on a lot of different things.” However, they didn’t give anything specific, but if a new God of War is already in the works, then it is definitely far too soon to announce something like that anyway.

Santa Monica Studio also has a history of publishing smaller, indie games, like The Unfinished Swan and Journey, so there could always be more games from interesting indie developers that will soon grace our digital shelves because of the studio. Although, Eric Williams, the director of God of War Ragnarök, also added that even if they don’t publish anything and just focus on the next God of War, then they may do that too. Everything is clearly still to be decided. And full steam ahead on the next installment will be just as exciting.

In our own NoobFeed review for God of War Ragnarök, we said: “It is no easy feat, but Santa Monica studios have managed to surpass one of the greatest games ever made and create its sequel.” This game has clearly struck a nerve with many gamers, and anything new from the studio would be welcomed with open arms.
