Resident Evil Village is one of the biggest games launching this year. Capcom had a special showcase showing off new Resident Evil Village news including 2 demos and release date.
Resident Evil Village will launch this May 7th and Capcom confirmed the game will launch on PS4 and Xbox One, with next-gen upgrades available for free. In addition, a multiplayer mode has been confirmed called Resident Evil Re:Verse that looks a lot like the Heroes mode from Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City. Little information was provided but it has a cel-shaded look and players can pick from a pool of iconic Resident Evil characters, both heroes and villains, to play as.
Capcom has released a new demo exclusive to the PS5 called Maiden that will take place before the events of the core game, similar to RE7's demo. Another demo is set to release this Spring.
Starting today, PlayStation 5 owners can get an exclusive sneak peek of the castle area from Resident Evil Village with the Maiden demo. This stand-alone experience is separate, but showcases the stunning visuals and 3D Audio that await in the main game. As the Maiden, players will need to rely solely on their wits to make their escape in this tension-filled demo, as they’ll have no way to fight or defend themselves. A separate new demo for all platforms will be available later this spring.
Pre-orders are open and several bonuses have been confirmed. Including item boosters and retro-style items from iconic Resident Evil items.
The merchant has been confirmed and is not the same person from RE4. Instead, this person is called The Duke and will help Ethan for a fee of course. Ethan is much more seasoned and because of this can fight back more effectively. Ethan can kick away enemies and block will play a bigger role.
