Control was one of the best games of 2019, even winning our GOTY. The game did have a rough start but it's clear this title is a slow burn, with more and more fans joining the adventure. As the title has sold over 2 million copies and was recently one of the best selling titles of November 2020.
This is likely due to the positive reception of the game. Control features a supernatural adventure full of psychological events. With the title coming to Game Pass more and more gamers can experience this magnificent title.
This is not to say that Control was free from controversy. The Ultimate Edition had many problems surrounding its release since fans who purchased the original would not be getting a free upgrade for Xbox Series X or PS5. This issue still has fans annoyed especially early fans of Control.
Same Lake did confirm that Remedy's next game will be part of the Remedy Connected Universe which includes Control, Alan Wake, and Quantum Break. Alan Wake was purchased by Remedy from Microsoft but Microsoft still owns Quantum Break.
It's unclear if the next game will be Alan Wake 2 as the final DLC did confirm that Jessie and Alan would be meeting.
Control is now available for PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Switch.
