Today, Remedy Entertainment revealed new footage for the final DLC expansion for Control. Showing off AWE and how Jesse will venture into one of the most dangerous areas of The Oldest House, which sounds like an oxymoron after playing through the game.
The footage opens up with Jesse finding that Alex Casey, an agent was looking for Alan Wake, which should be impossible since Alex was a fictional character Alan created. However, those who played Alan Wake knows that The Dark Presence can make fiction into reality. This expansion is the first crossover event that confirms the 2 worlds are connected which has been heavily hinted in the core game. With The Dark Presence's weakness to light also part of the expansion.
Next the player showed how Jesse will get a new upgrade to the Toss ability. Allowing Jesse to pick up 3 objects instead of one and its free to everyone. Jesse can also use a grenade launcher attachment for her service weapon.
Remedy also revealed a limited-edition art/coffee table book for Control, coming this holiday, in collaboration with Future Press.
Control is now available for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Ultimate Edition will launch this September 10th for consoles and August 27th for Steam, the same day as the AWE DLC. Free upgrades for PS5 and Xbox Series X will be provided only for the Ultimate Edition.
