Final Fantasy XV Episode Ardyn has 2 major boss fights, the first being against Regis Lucis Caelum, better known as Noctis' father. However, this version is younger and a little harder to take down. Here's how.
Regis has 3 phases, the first is a straight fight. If you powered Ardyn to his maximum potential this stage will be a breeze. Simply attack with mercy and dodge when Regis points his sword towards you, ready to charge. Another ability that Regis will often use is his lightning attacks. When he leaps into the air shadow step to avoid being hit. After enough damage has been dealt the second phase will begin.
Regis will summon his swords but still rely on the same tactics. Be ready to tap the attack button when you parry and hit Y, or triangle on PS4, when the prompt appears. If you remain Regis starts to cast lightning or leaps into the air simply use shadow step to avoid damage. Spectral charge and Dark Tornado will finish Regis quickly if you have access to these techniques but your basic swing should be more than enough.
The final phase Regis will cast protect and start flinging his Royal Arms everywhere. You can be brave and take him head on or be smart and summon Ifrit. If you didn't use Ifrit the entire battle your meter should be charged enough to use Meteor Strike and destroy the barrier. At this point, Regis is a walking target as you and Ifrit will make short work of the king.
