After Chaos uploaded and took down footage for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's battle royale mode Activision released an official update. Confirming much of what Chaos stated and that Warzone as a free-to-play mode.

Warzone will feature 150 players and feature the world of Verdansk. The mode will go live on March 10th for everyone but those with a purchased copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will get early access hours before the mode goes public. In addition, all cosmetics earned in the full game will transfer over to the free-to-play option. If you don't own Modern Warfare all cosmetics earned in Warzone will instantly transfer over if you decide to purchase it.

The free-to-play mode will feature 2 game modes Battle Royale and Plunder. With cross-play available for both modes.

Battle royale has 150 players facing off as the map shrinks. Last team or player standing wins.

In Plunder players race to get the most Cash by lotting stashes across the map, killing and stealing Cash from other players, and completing in-match Contracts.

Verdansk will feature multiple zones and feature landmarks along with maps from past Call of Duty games. 5 types of vehicles will be included on the map.

·     ATV – two seater, provides minimal protection, good at offroading, fast.

·     Tactical Rover – four seater, provides minimal protection, solidly fast, solid at off-roading.

·     SUV – four seater, provides good protection, medium speed, not ideal for off-roading.

·     Cargo Truck – holds the squad plus equipment, excellent protection, not for off-roading, slowest.

·     Helicopter – four seater, decent coverage, flies.

The Gulag was confirmed and includes a 1v1 match where dead players face off for the chance to respawn. Players can be respawned by allies using Cash if they fail. Cash can also be used for Killstreaks, self-revives, and "more". In Plunder Cash is used for depositing your cash and keep it safe from enemy players.

Contracts are in-match challenges that offer rewards. With additional items provided through Supply Boxes and Recon Contracts located in specific areas around the map.

Perhaps the biggest thing is the download require. Warzone will need around 100 GB of free space. So yea, clear some space.
