For the past couple of days Capcom has been teasing new information about the upcoming Devil May Cry 3 for the Nintendo Switch. Now confirming the game will include freestyle mode.

This will allow Dante to switch between styles instead of having to pick one at the beginning of a level. In the original and special edition versions of the game, Dante was limited to 1 style and had to be selected before a mission.

Style Switching in DMC3 Special Edition (Nintendo Switch) will work just like you’d expect. Press UP for Trickster, DOWN for Royal Guard, LEFT for Gunslinger and RIGHT for Swordmaster. For the special styles unlocked later in the game, it’ll require a quick double-tap of specific buttons. For Doppelganger, double-tap LEFT, and for Quicksilver, double-tap RIGHT.

This option was first introduced in Devil May Cry 4. Now players can enjoy the update in the Switch version of the game.

DMC 3 takes place before the events of the first game. With Dante reuniting with his brother Vergil who is attempting to open the door to the demon world to obtain his father's power. The Switch version will include everything in the original and Special Edition version of the game. Such as Vergil as a playable character.

DMC 3 is now available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Switch.
