Final Fantasy XIV patch 5.18 is now available and Square Enix has detaield all the changes to the title.
This also marks the beginning of Season Fourteen of the Feast
Patch 5.18 contains content that can only be accessed by registering the expansion packs for FINAL FANTASY XIV to your service account. To distinguish between adjustments that are and are not affected by the registration of these expansions, the following notations will be used throughout the patch notes:
These additions and adjustments only require the purchase of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.
These additions and adjustments require the purchase and registration of FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward.
These additions and adjustments require the purchase and registration of FINAL FANTASY XIV: Stormblood.
These additions and adjustments require the purchase and registration of FINAL FANTASY XIV: Shadowbringers.
These additions and adjustments contain elements that may require the purchase and registration of the expansion packs noted above.
Battle System
The weekly restriction on receiving Blades of Early Antiquity from Eden's Gate: Sepulture has been removed.
The following adjustments have been made to Eden's Gate (Savage):
Two treasure coffers will now always appear. Furthermore, the weekly restriction on rewards obtained from coffers has been removed.
The weekly entrance restriction on all areas of Eden's Gate (Savage) has been removed.
Players may now proceed directly to any area of Eden's Gate (Savage).
The display of enemies and AOE markers during large-scale FATEs in 5.0 areas has been adjusted.
Following this adjustment, your character must be within 100 yalms of the FATE before enemies can be seen.
The item required to enhance weapons purchased with Allagan tomestones of phantasmagoria, Deepshadow Solvent, can be purchased from Fathard in Eulmore (X:10.2 Y:11.7) with Manufactured Coins.
Upgrading Equipment
- After acquiring the items required to enhance your weapon from Fathard, speak with Shee-Tatch in Eulmore (X:10.3 Y:12.0) and exchange them for an augmented weapon of your choice.
PvP
PvP actions have been adjusted as follows:
Tank and Melee DPS Actions
Action Adjustment Vanward Potion The name of this action has been changed from Vanward Potion to Medical Kit.
This action can be used by all jobs.Ninja
Action Adjustment Shukuchi Barrier strength has been reduced from the equivalent of a heal of 2,000 potency to a heal of 1,000 potency. Trick Attack Increase to target's damage taken has been reduced from 20% to 15%. Ill Wind Silence duration has been reduced from 2 seconds to 1 second. Bard
Action Adjustment HP HP has been increased from 12,500 to 15,000. Machinist
Action Adjustment HP HP has been increased from 12,500 to 15,000. Dancer
Action Adjustment HP HP has been increased from 12,500 to 15,000. Black Mage
Action Adjustment HP HP has been increased from 12,500 to 15,000. Summoner
Action Adjustment HP HP has been increased from 12,500 to 15,000. Red Mage
Action Adjustment HP HP has been increased from 12,500 to 15,000. White Mage
Action Adjustment HP HP has been increased from 15,000 to 17,500. Scholar

The Feast
Season Fourteen of the Feast will begin.
In answer to demand from you─our players─this latest season of the Feast has begun ahead of the release of Patch 5.2. As a result of this change in schedule, the adjustments did not make it in time; therefore, the rewards for the fourteenth season are different.
* Wolf Collars will not be available during this season.
* No changes have been made to titles, trophies, or rank rewards.
* The number of rewards distributed may differ between data centers in the event players have the same ranking.
* Rankings will be available for viewing the day following the start of Season Fourteen and will be updated daily. Should an error occur with calculating results, the day's rankings will not be updated.Frontline
To improve randomization of party members in Frontline campaigns, players are no longer assigned according to their Grand Company membership, and are instead treated as being freelancers.
Further adjustments to this feature are planned for future updates.
The following adjustments have been made to Onsal Hakair (Danshig Naadam):
The tactical rating required to win has been reduced from 1,800 to 1,600.
Tactical points earned when defeating enemy players has been reduced from 10 to 8.
Tactical points lost when being defeated by enemy players has been reduced from 10 to 8.
