It's hard to called Monster Hunter World: Iceborne a simple expansion. The add-on to Monster Hunter World adds over 40 hours of quality content, with new monsters and gear to obtain; along with 2 new regions to explore. And PC gamers can join in on January 9th.
PC players should consider sharpening their hunting skills now, as Capcom today confirmed the critically-acclaimed Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will be arriving on Steam beginning January 9th, 2020. The massive expansion, currently available on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One, builds on every aspect of Capcom’s best-selling title Monster Hunter: World, with an enormous amount of new content including the largest region in the game so far, a multitude of new monsters and subspecies for hunters to challenge, new gameplay options and more. To celebrate the release date announcement on PC, a new trailer running in 4K at 60FPS was shared today and can be downloaded here.
Fans were disappointed to hear that the PC version wouldn't launch along with the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. However, Capcom has delivered outstanding releases worth the wait for some time. With this year alone having strong releases such as Devil May Cry V and Resident Evil 2 2029.
I reviewed Iceborne and considered it an outstanding addition to the core game. Adding a brand new campaign, new monsters, existing tempered monsters, and lots of new gear to collect. This expansion feels more like an entirely new game with the number of things Capcom provided to players.
