Gears 5 launches this week for Xbox Ultimate Game Pass owners and today a new character is joining the ranks. With Dave Bautista now part of the game.

Bautista shared the news today, allowing players to take control of the WWE Superstar in the battle against the Swarm. In addition, Linda Hamilton's portrayal of Sarah Connor from the upcoming Terminator: Dark Fate will be featured along with Halo: Reach's Noble Team's Kat and Emile.
A new character is always a great addition and I'm sure a lot of money changed hands to make this happen but why Bautista? Seems random to me. Personally, I would've liked a universe crossing character like Doom Slayer from DOOM or HUNK from Resident Evil.
Gears 5 releases for the PC and Xbox One on Sept. 10 and September 6th for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members and those with the Ultimate Edition of Gears 5.
