Gears 5 is Microsoft's next big game. Releasing on Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, and Windows 10, a recent Tech Test has been available for those who pre-ordered the game or have an active Xbox Game Pass subscription. Now, those who wish to showcase their Gears of War zeal can purchase the limited edition Xbox One X Gears 5 console.
The console will come with a custom designed Xbox One X and Xbox One controller, full download for Gears 5 Ultimate Edition, Gears of War Ultimate Edition, Gears of War 2, 3, and 4. Along with a 1-month subscription to Xbox game Pass and Xbox Live Gold.
The limited-edition Gears 5 Kait Diaz Controller will be available for separate purchase for $74.99. It'll also come with a special ice Kair Character Skin. In addition, a GameStop exclusive Kait Diaz Charging Stand for $49.99 to match the controller.
Lastly, Razer and Microsoft are launching a special edition headset and Gears of War mouse and keyboard. Along with a new Seagate external hard drive will be available. The headset is a Razer Thresher featuring the Gears 5 logo, the keyboard is a Razer Turret featuring the Gears of War logo, and the hard drive is 2 TB in size with the Gears logo on it.
This is a lot of promotional hardware to be thrown at Gears 5 but it's also one of Microsoft's biggest IP. With Halo being the largest. Right now, Gears 5 looks incredibly promising. Deciding to go back to the dark atmosphere that the original game had. As a fan of the series since the Xbox 360, I welcome this.
Gears 5 launches for Xbox One and Windows 10 this September 10th.
