DOOM's release on the Nintendo Switch was met with popular praise until players realized that an constant online connection was required. Gamers hated the feature and took to the internet to share memes, combining the Bethesda.Net requirement with other retro games. Since then, Bethesda has removed the feature.

The BethesdaNet login requirement was included for the Slayers Club, to reward members for playing the classic DOOM games.
The login should be optional, and we are working on changing the requirement to optional now.

Now gamers can play the classic DOOM games on the Switch without an online requirement.
Another issue that has been resolved, is the Xbox 360 version of DOOM. Players noticed that the original Xbox 360 version was removed from the digital store but according to Bethesda this was a mistake. Now the game is back up.
We have resolved an issue where the Xbox 360 releases for DOOM & DOOM II were inaccessible from the “Ready to Install” dashboard on Xbox One.
