Generation Zero is due out next Tuesday.

Upcoming open-world first-person shooter Generation Zero is scheduled to release next week and developer Avalanche Studios, alongside publisher THQ Nordic, have treated players to a new launch trailer that gives yet another glimpse at the game. The video kicks off by showcasing some of the game's environments, from snowy desolate towns to empty sunny hillsides, all rendered in Avalanche Studios' Apex engine.

The trailer then shifts focus to some of Generation Zero's robotic opponents eerily traversing empty pastures, as four player characters meet up at a crossroads. The last stretch is dedicated to showcasing the title's explosive combat, which involves weapons from SMGs to sniper rifles and even Bazookas.

To those unaware, Generation Zero throws players into a version of Sweden where the human population is gone and the world is overrun by hostile machines. Players can take on these foes by themselves, or alongside up to three others through the game's seamless multiplayer function.

Stealth and strategy is required when dealing with these robotic foes, especially as toppling some of them with a head-on assault can prove to be quite the challenge. Interestingly enough, wounds dealt to machines persist, so if you've encountered an enemy you ahd to run away from (or that ran away from you) later, they'll bear the scars of your previous encounter. Generation Zero is scheduled to release on March 26th on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
