Co-developer of Microsoft and 343 Industries' Halo: Infinite Skybox Labs has revealed their other original project, a cinematic platformer called Stela that looks amazing.
According to an official press release, the project will combine platforming and puzzle solving within uniquely designed environments.
“Our focus was to create beautiful 3D atmospheres with depth and scale while remaining as true to the cinematic platformer genre as possible,” said Shyang Kong, Co-Founder, SkyBox Labs. “We’re extremely proud of our work developing partner titles like Halo Infinite and Minecraft Bedrock Edition on Nintendo Switch, and we’re eager to bring that level of craftsmanship to a touching new experience.”
From a visual standpoint, the game looks amazing with distinct environments, what appears to be wendigos and other supernatural creatures, and lots of environmental puzzles. It's likely that fans of Limbo and GRIS will likely gravitate to this title. You can check out more screenshots below.
Stela is now in development for PC and Xbox One, it'll release this 2019.
