Since the release of Borderlands 2 fans have been asking Gearbox Software about a sequel. While the studio did release a prequel the franchise has gone dark, with a technical sequel being Tales from the Borderlands from Telltale Games. However, Gearbox is teasing a new reveal at this year's PAX East.

The promise does coincide with rumors about making Borderlands 3 for some time, but these rumors have existed for some time. However, Take-Two Interactive, who publishes the Borderlands series, did tease a new project for this fiscal year. It could also be a new Duke Nukem or Brothers in Arms title. You never know.
