The first reveal confirmed the existence of 3 leagues that players can participate in and the 2nd announcement went into depth about combat. Players can take part in Great, Ultra, and Master Leagues, with players only to compete in their bracket. Battles can be accepted from nearby players using a Battle Code but Best Friends and Ultra Friends can battle from any location.
Battles will be real-time and revolve around players tapping skills along with the strength of their Pokemon. Players can use stardust and candies for stronger attacks.
Pokemon Go is now available for iOS and Android devices.
