Developer The Farm 51 has announced that its modern online first-person shooter World War 3 has sold more than 100000 copies in the first two days after launching on Steam Early Access. "This success is truly humbling, and gives us even greater motivation to continue extensive development of the game.", the developer said. It also noted that "a lot of updates" wait ahead, after the feedback received from fans in the first days of its Early Access period.
World War 3 saw many people trying to give it a shot at launch only to be met with connection errors that prevented them from joining servers. The issue seems to have been fixed (I could reliably get into games yesterday), but the developer has stated that it is "planning to offer a form of in-game compensation" for the rough launch. Details are said to follow soon. If you're not one of the thousands playing right now and happen to be in Warsaw until the 28th of October, World War 3 is also present at the Warsaw Game Show.
For my thoughts on what World War 3 currently has to offer, give our World War 3 preview a read.
