Telltale Games has become one of the leaders in narrative-driven experiences since the release of the first season of The Walking Dead. Despite this, the studio has faced many roadblocks such as laying off 25% of its staff back in November 2017 and now the studio only has around 25 members left after laying off most of its staff today.

In a blog post unnervingly called "Telltale closure" Bruner explains that it was "a very, very sad day" as people who loved creating stories that no one else would lose their jobs today and the studio he helped build is on the edge.

Bruner left Telltale Games after "very different visions of Telltale's future" between him and the Board of Directors and filed a lawsuit seeking damages for his removal from the board. However, the statements provided by Bruner does provide more evidence that Telltale is on the brink of closure if that happens the in development Stranger Things game and The Wolf Among Us 2 will be canceled.

The gaming community has come today with studios such as Gearbox and Santa Monica sending out links to job openings at those companies.

We are very sorry to hear about the layoffs at @TelltaleGames. To all of our friends affected, please check our current openings for possible matches: https://t.co/ka0JeGTtKI #telltalejobs
