Assassin's Creed Odyssey is the next big game in the hit action-adventure franchise but those looking for another game in 2019 will have to wait. The yearly franchise won't have another installment this 2019.
Ubisoft confirmed this when speaking at Gamescom 2018 with Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot stating:
"On Assassin's, we had a game [in 2018] and we have one this year, but we are not going to have a full-fledged Assassin's next year," said Guillemot. "It's just because the team were working separately, so we have two games now, one year after the other. But next year you're not going to have a fully fledged one."
This reflects Ubisoft's new direction of providing games as a service with Guillemot stating that the team working on Assassin's Creed Odyssey will provide new reasons to keep playing.
Assassin's Creed Odyssey launches on October 5th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
