Over the past weeks, Ubisoft has been releasing an episodic series called Behind the Odyssey to showcase the mechanics in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. This week's episode focuses on naval combat and exploration.
During the course of the episode player's can expect similar mechanics found in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. You'll a vast array of water to explore full of hostile ships and treasure to find. Like Black Flag, players will encounter a wide range of ships that host various enemies and will yield powerful items. Once the ship is destroyed players can dive into the ocean in search of the treasure chest but will have to contend with hostile ocean life like sharks.
Players can recruit mercenaries or regular enemies to become commanders on your ship or call them into combat.
