Red Dead Redemption 2 originally supposed to launch in fall 2017 before being pushed back to spring 2018 and now fall 2018. The postponements have led many to believe the game would be delayed again CEO of Take-Two Strauss Zelnick assured fans that won't be the case.

In an episode of Mad Money Zelnick stated: "Hand on heart, it's October 26th." During the meeting, Zelnick vowed that the open world western title won’t receive another delay, as he said, “The date of October 26 is set, and I am confident that will be the release date.”

Rockstar is known for setting new standards in not only open-world games but storytelling. Considering Red Dead Redemption 2 lengthy development delays was enviable but Take-Two and Rockstar are expressing confidence in the game's current release date. Let's just hope the online functions don't suffer in the same way Grand Theft Auto Online did at launch.

Red Dead Redemption 2 launches on October 26th for Xbox One and PS4.
