Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is Activision's next big title and although we have limited information regarding the game some leaks have made it to the outside world. Sources have told Polygon that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 won't feature a traditional campaign and instead of putting more focus on multiplayer.
Polygon contacted Activision who responded with “We don’t comment on rumor and speculation. We look forward to revealing Black Ops 4 on May 17th.”. The source elaborated that a cooperative experience will be placed instead of a typical single-player campaign.
These are rumors and should be taken with a grain of salt. In addition, deciding to go this route will no doubt cause frustrations among the gaming community. It would also be a major step backward as Black Ops 3's campaign was well-received and is one of my personal favorites in the franchise.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is scheduled for release on Oct. 12, 2018, on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One. Activision will reveal more information on Black Ops 4 during a reveal on May 17 during a live event.
