Sea Of Thieves has had an array of criticisms since its launch, with lackluster content and only cosmetic customization options available. However, the biggest complaint is the open matchmaking. Rare is aware of the issues and plans to update the game accordingly with new updates and patches to improve the experience. In a recent developer's update, Rare explained they plan to allow "invite-only" crews and more.
This new option allows players can invite specific gamers to their crew without having a random player join. This will also prevent players from misusing the brig system to lock away unwanted gamers.
Rare also plans to provide:
Filter for matchmaking for language and microphone using players
Baning hacking players (priority)
Sea Of Thieves is now available for Xbox One and Windows 10.
