Resident Evil 7 was one of the earlier and most acclaimed games of 2017. Releasing in January 2017 the game received many high remarks from critics and gamers for its return to survival-horror, great antagonist, and memorable boss battles. After receiving the Best VR Audio award from the 2018 Game Audio Network Guild Awards Capcom revealed the game sold 5.1 million units as of March 31st, 2018.
These are strong sales numbers and hopefully, Capcom will continue this momentum by releasing a new game that builds on everything Resident Evil 7 established.
Capcom released the Gold Edition recently, which includes all previously released content in one package. If you love survival-horror you owe it to yourself to play this game.
