Sea of Thieves is now available and many are exploring the vast seas in search of rare treasure. However, early development designs had different conceptions of what would eventually become the pirate adventure it is now. Speaking to IGN, Rare studio head Craig Duncan stated that the team explored many themes including vampires and dinosaurs.
Exploring various themes Duncan stated:
“We had all these different themes, vampires, dinosaurs, you name it. Just imagine everything, because at this point you’re going broad, you’re brainstorming.”
Sea of Thieves is now available for Xbox One and Windows 10. It features cross-play between Xbox One and Windows 10 and is featured on Xbox Game Pass.
