Tony Hawk franchise on ice

Sorry Tony Hawk fans, today some distressing news went public. Tony Hawk is no longer working with Activision, confirmed by the pro skater himself.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5,NoobFeed,Activision,

The troubled trouble of the franchise has been a long time coming especially after the release of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5. The game launched with heavy technical issues, simple mission design, and compared to past entries was criticized for being bland.

To anyone asking me to 'remaster" old games, or complaining about THPS servers being down: Activision owns the THPS license but I am no longer working with them. If I had the skills / authority to reboot servers or code games for newer systems on my own, I would be happy to...

Last time the Tony Hawk series received a remaster was 2012 with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD. While it receives mediocre reviews the franchise is still a cult classic for many who played the games in the past. Personally, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 is one of my favorite games of all time and seeing the franchise in the state it is now is heartbreaking.
