The first expansion called The Hidden Ones will add a new questline and area. Bayek will examine the new region Sinai uncover a new Roman threat. Bayek's level cap will also be increased from 40 to 45 to battle the Roman threat with a new quest called Internal Threat, which is available to everyone for free, serving as an introduction to the expansion. The Hidden Ones can be purchased alone for $9.99 or as part of the season pass.

Ubisoft also confirmed that the non-combat exploration mode called Discovery Mode will be released on all platforms February 20th. The new feature is free to everyone or can be purchased as standalone on the PC for $19.99.

On March 6 Ubisoft will launch The Curse of the Pharaohs which puts Bayek at odds with mystical creatures and undead pharaohs. It'll raise the level cap again, presumably to 50, and add new abilities. Like the previous expansion this can be purchased alone for $19.99 or as part of the season pass.

It's clear that Ubisoft has plans to ensure that Assassin's Creed Origins players have lots of reasons to keep coming back alone. The core adventure is already teeming with content and areas to explore and with these new expansions, players will have hours of enjoyment as they take on increasingly more difficult challenges.

Assassin's Creed Origins is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
