The latest trailer for God of War 4 features new enemies and Kratos' new combat tactics.
The first enemy revealed was something called a Soul Eater which consumes the soul of its victim preventing them from reaching the afterlife. Next, we see was seems to be smaller versions of the same enemy with Kratos doing what he does best, killing stuff.
Here we see Kratos use an elemental ice attack and the ability to throw his ax, stun enemies, and perform a brutal finisher while the creature is stunned. It seems to mimic the Blades of Chaos from the first game the developers have given Kratos extensive range and control over his ax, allowing him to throw it at will and grab it after a few seconds.
According to the trailer, God of War 4 will release in early 2018.
