Epic Games' Fortnite is heading to paid Early Access.

Fortnite is an interesting, but also strange, mixture of elements popular nowadays. On the one hand you've got resource gathering and exploration. This is required for getting loot for your four hero classes and materials. Materials are then used in building large forts which protect you when the monster-bringing storm hits. That's a synopsis of what's going on, but going in deep you've Constructors who are efficient at building stuff and Ninjas who're good at melee. You can build things as you're getting attacked, which requires paying attention to weak points in your defenses as you blast away zombies. It's a real doozy.

What's even better, if the description above got your interest, is that a Fortnite Early Access Season is set to launch on the 25th of July on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Mac. Pre-ordering the title will get you a four day head start, access to exclusive in-game events and other goodies. Prices range from 39,99to 149.99€. You can find more details on the various pre-order options on the Fortnite website. Furthermore, you can see the game in action in the latest Fortnite gameplay trailer.
