The world can wait no longer. Today at the BFI IMAX in London, England Activision partnered up with Sledgehammer Games to officially reveal the trailer for their next installment in the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: WWII. From what we can see, gamers will get to experience the D-Day battle on the beaches of Normandy and experience other significant European theatres in the World War II landscape. The game is already being dubbed The best Call of Duty game we've ever made according to Co-founder of Sledgehammer Games, Glen Schofield.

The phrase "boots on the ground" was used frequently during the presentation, signifying, perhaps, a departure from all the flash, futuristic or not, of the more recent Call Of Duty titles.

So without further delay, here's the trailer for Call of Duty: WWII:

Co-founder of Sledgehammer Games, Glen Schofield did state that a big chunk of information will be made available at E3, however, we do know a couple of things about multiplayer. Firstly, there's the Headquarters. This is meant to be a social place for players to hang out while in-game, or "an off the frontlines experience", as the devs put it. One of the modes, quite originally dubbed War, puts players through iconic World War II battles, with different teams fighting for strategic objectives. Cooperative afficionados will be happy to hear that the Zombies mode is also coming back, with a story based on the Third Reich's last efforts at building up an army during the final days of the war. Last, but not least, Call Of Duty WWII will be playable first on the PS4. Call Of Duty: WWII is set to release on November 3rd, 2017. Pre-ordering will grant access to a private beta.
