Rose explained that she's incredibly "proud" of the work the team has done with the Halo franchise for the last 9 years and wants to "continue pushing forward and taking risks" even when some of these risks fail.

Ross explained that while remaining loyal the core mechanics of the franchise is paramount the studio must evolve and believes that the risks made in Halo 5's gameplay and multiple were good.

One of these failures include the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection which released with horrible online multiplayer issues that took months to fix and had the studio and Microsoft apologizing with free content including the free release of Halo 3: ODST Remastered. Halo 5's lack of spilt-screen multiplayer was another issue that Ross touched on and admits these kinds of problems "erodes trust" with the community.

With that statement, Ross promised that all future FPS Halo games will include split-screen multiplayer.

Halo Wars 2, the latest installment in the Halo franchise, is now available for Xbox One and Windows 10.
