Take-Two and NBA partnered for NBA 2K eLeague

Today Take-Two Interactive and the National Basketball Association announced plans to launch NBA 2K eLeague, a new competitive gaming league for basketball gamers around the world.

Set to launch in 2018 the competitive gaming league will consist of teams by actual NBA franchises and the five professional eSports players, the founding team, will play the game as user-created avatars in the coming months. The professional sports league format will include:

competing head-to-head throughout a regular season
Participate in bracketed playoff system
Conclude with championship matchup

"Through the NBA 2K series, which is renowned throughout the world for capturing the authenticity of the NBA and the passion of its fans, we have a proven track record of highly successful collaboration. With this new venture, Take-Two and the NBA aim to fuel the accelerating growth of eSports and take the thrill of competition to exciting new heights."

NBA 2K17 is now available for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, Android, iOS, and PC.
