Dishonored 2 is getting another large content update that will arrive in Steam beta on January 18th before launching for all platforms on January 23rd.
Two major additions will be added, a custom difficulty setting and Mission Restart and Select.
The custom difficulty option allows the player to tailor the experience to their liking. For example, players can shift how many enemies can attack them or how effective sleep darts are. Lead Designer, Dinga Bakaba, stated:
“Iron Mode adds even more teeth to Dishonored 2. You will have to live with the consequences of your actions, or die permanently because of them.”
Mission replay and select allows you to replay your favorite missions without having to play through the entire game. It's important to note that the game will retain your status based on the save file you select, for example, a high-chaos run will remain as such. However, it does make obtaining the Clean Hands and Ghost achievements much easier.
