While the message isn’t explicitly a rebellious move against a Trump US presidency victory, it is likely tied to the chagrin the world has been plunged in after the United States of America decided to elect a xenophobe steak salesman as their leader. And here I thought weird moves like that were only possible in Civilization, where I suddenly emerge in the year 2020 as the Zulu supreme ruler of Earth, nuking anyone who oppose.

Bleeding heart proto-game Gone Home is the most expected, but not least appreciated, offering of this freebie waterfall. Developer Steve Gaynor of The Fullbright Company posted the following on Twitter:

Those who choose to donate, regardless of the free giveaway, will see their money donated to Lambda Legal, an organization protecting LGBTQ people, who are currently skeptical as to their safety under a Trump rule, who previously expressed, let’s say, lesser than popular views around equal rights.
Developer Polytron of Fez fame has joined in and made their audio experience, Panoramical, free as well. A similar hopeful message on Twitter states:

Polytron’s Phil Fish has previously expressed their own rather extreme views. They’ve since calmed down and moved on to create SuperHyperCube on virtual reality (VR) devices. Though that game was previously also scrapped for Oculus Rift, after their executive Palmer Luckey was ousted as a meme-loving right-wing supporter.
We found some more, lesser known games that you could give a whirl for free this weekend. Developer Florian Veltman scratched off the price for Lieve Oma, which translates to “Dear Grandma.” Their message states:

Dutch-based developer Ted Martens released Pixel Fireplace for free as well. The game is pretty much what it says on the tin. Burn stuff in a fireplace and watch it go. Here’s their Twitter post on the matter:

Finally, it wouldn’t be an indie dev feature without some neon synth experience in there somewhere. Arclight Cascade from developer Hexdragonal lets you whack your bits about, to let off some steam. They also took to social media to announce their reasons, stating:
