Niantic Labs' CEO John Hanke confirmed at SDCC yesterday that Pokémon Go will have trading available in a future update.
Trading as been the most requested service for Pokémon Go since it launched this month. It was available during the Pokémon Go beta testing but limited to local trading only. Players could communicate with other players with trading inquiries and respond with either yes or no. It's unknown if Pokémon Go will feature this same system or allow for international trading to get region exclusive Pokémon. Giving the popularity of Pokémon Go if the game does offer international trading expect some issues at launch.
Trading has always been a major feature in the line of Pokémon games, with the first games Pokémon Red and Blue. Red and Blue version offered players the option to trade using a link cable in order to collect every Pokémon in the game since certain Pokémon were exclusive to each game.
Pokémon Go is now available on mobile devices. You can check out all the secrets uncovered by data miners here, including a level cap.
