Fresh news from the creators of Bastion and Transistor! The developers have announced their third project: Pyre. The game is set to be a party-based RPG, which means the team is treading some new ground, as their previous games were focused on a single protagonist.

Just like in the past, the studio will focus on beautiful, atmospheric visuals (as can be seen in the image above and the various others available on their website) and storytelling. In Pyre, you'll journey across the Downside, which is a wagon of some sorts, alongside a handful of wanderers that happen to have saved you from death at the very beginning of the game. A variety of characters in all shapes and sizes alongside choices which will determine their fates are also promised. The game is set for a simultaneous 2017 release on both Steam and PS4. Pyre will also be available at PAX. More info can be found on the developer's website.
