Today Major Nelson answered a tweet from a fan regarding Windows 10 gamers playing with Xbox One players in through Cross-Buy supported titles online. Larry Hryb revealed that PC gamers won’t need to pay for Xbox Live Gold Membership to play online.

This means that the online experience that Xbox One Gold members pay for will be available for free on Windows 10. Seeing that Microsoft wants their Windows 10 platform to compete with Steam it’s logical that they would offer the online service for free. Despite this many Xbox Live Gold Members are vexed about the decision.
