Alan Wake's Return Is Not A Sequel

Alan Wake's Return is part of Quantum Break

By Grayshadow, Posted 05 Mar 2016

Sorry Alan Wake fans the next Alan Wake game will not be Alan Wake’s Return.

Back in February Remedy Entertainment registered a new domain for Alan Wake’s Return, with many assuming that it was the long-awaited full sequel to the cult classic game Alan Wake. Unfortunately creative director Sam Lake has confirmed that it’s a live-action television show in Quantum Break, similar to Night Springs from Alan Wake.

Sam Lake confirmed that no information regarding Alan Wake’s future has been released.

“Just making sure everything is covered. So, no real news about anything future Alan Wake-related” Lake told Kotaku. Lake went on to say that when something “definite” is ready they’ll talk about Alan Wake. My many my dreams of seeing another Alan Wake game have been destroyed.

Quantum Break will release on Windows 10 and Xbox One April 5. Those who pre-order the game on Xbox One will get a free copy for Windows 10.
