New NFC Reader/Writer devices are coming to Nintendo 2DS and 3DS consoles this September.
The NFC Reader/Writer, announced in 2014, will allow 2DS and 3DS consoles to use Amiibos figurines, a once exclusive feature for the New Nintendo 3DS.
It uses 2 AA batteries and uses wireless connectivity. It'll cost $19.99 for those willing to invest in this Amiibo reader.
Judging from the popularity of Amiibos it can be assumed that these devices are going to be popular, especially for those unwilling to upgrade to the New Nintendo 3DS.
