Those hoping to relive the glory of fighting demons with their friends in the latest installment in the DOOM franchise are going to be disappointed. Although a popular feature in Doom 3, when it was released for the Xbox 360, DOOM's executive producer Marty Stratton has confirmed that DOOM's will be a single-player only adventure.
This doesn't mean that cooperative gameplay will be omitted from DOOM, modders can use SnapMap to create cooperative missions.
DOOM is set to release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC in 2016. Keys for the DOOM multiplayer alpha are going to release soon with beta keys following afterwards before the game's release. Everyone who pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order will receive a beta key but access to the alpha will be limited.
