It looks like Capcom is taking advice from Telltale Games and has decided to release Resident Evil Revelations 2 across four downloadable episodes instead of one retail release. The entire season will cost $25, not including extra content, and will be released weekly following the first episode. A complete disc copy is scheduled to release with all the additional content included for $40.
Capcom didn’t reveal how long each episode will last but explained that each episode will end with a cliffhanger to keep players excited for each subsequent episode.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 will star Claire Redfield and Barry Burton’s daughter, Moira, and will be set between Resident Evil 5 and 6. The next installment in Capcom’s popular survival-horror franchise is set to release on Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4 and PC early 2015.
